Ambassadors of the Word (AOW) is a non-profit organization established in 1988 for the primary purpose of providing supportive services, workshops, and resources for the positive development of African-American youth, their parents, and their communities.
Ambassadors of the Word, a national youth organization, builds a much needed foundation for youth based on faith and inner vision. The organization is comprised of chapter and affiliates as well as volunteer staff in various cities throughout the United States.
AOW is also comprised of international networks of kinship in places such as Australia, Ghana, Togo, Congo, Antigua, Belize, Jamaica, Grenada, South Africa, and other communities throughout the world. Though cultural exchange trips AOW creates opportunities for youth to achieve academic, cultural, and spiritual growth.
